We were interested to read Deloitte Access Economic's recent report - "The Economic Impact of the Information Glut" - which basically estimates the scale of economic value generated by improving information management across Australian and New Zealand businesses (and the cost by not doing so).

To summarize, the report notes that the productivity loss as a consequence of the inefficient handling and management of information represents a $3 billion annual drag on the Australian economy.
